This is a full scale bronze sculpture of a Salmon that carries the light over a Kitchen Island. The owner had us move the island back about 1' from its' planned location, causing the drop for the light to be off mark. I came up with this design to swag the light over as needed. The sculpturist, home owner and I tweaked it a bit from what the concept drawing showed, resulting in what you'll see in the photos below.
Below is a V-Berth remodel that I did on one of the boats we had owned a while ago. The carpeting was removed and then the woodwork was done. The material for the work came from another boat owner, who got it from Austraula. It's called "Kauri" and was what was used originally in the boat. Turns out... as the story goes, that the wood was recoved from the bottom of a lake and was dated at about 3000 years old. Nice stuff!
Here we have just the stairway portion of the plan for a custom home. It shows the progress of building the circular stairs through to the finished porduct. The railings were built using African Rose wood. We milled the raw lumber into strips that were used to laminate it up, as you'll see below. It took from 15 to 30 pieces... depending, to get the desired demension.
The Master Bath featured below is from the same house as the stairs above. The central feature here is the open ended / walk-in shower and spa tub. One enters on the left side... refer to the plan... of the circular glass block wall to use the shower. There's a walkin closet just outside the bathroom leading to the bedroom. The in-wall fireplace services both the bathroom and a sitting room on the other side.
